Here at Northwest Garden News, we get many requests and questions. Some of the most frustrating for us are those questions
about what to do with a shrub that needs a home, or how gardeners can get rid of extra nursery pots.
The
Gardener's Exchange lists items that gardeners wish to sell or trade with other gardeners.
To
submit an item to the Gardener's Exchange, follow the instructions below.
To
look for items that are available on the Gardener's Exchange, click on the link to your geographic area and see what's available!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SUBMITTING TO THE GARDENER'S EXCHANGE
1.
Include your full name and e-mail address along with your town or neighborhood. We will not publish your name in your listing.
2. If you have digital photo of the plant or item you wish to exchange, attach
it to a separate e-mail, addressed to: norwesgard@earthlink.net. Identify the photo and mention that it is for the Gardener's
Exchange in the subject line or body of the e-mail. 5 mb or smaller attachments, please.
3.
Include pertinent information about the plant: its size, whether it is in a pot or needs to be dug, etc., Give us the Latin
and common names of the plant if you know them.
4. We will provide
e-mail addresses for gardeners to contact one another. We won't provide phone numbers or addresses. When you e-mail another
gardener, you may exchange that information if you wish to.
5. If
possible, let us know when your Gardener's Exchange items are no longer available so we can remove your posting. If we don't
hear from you, we will take your items off the exchange after a month. If you want to continue for more than a month, contact
us or resubmit your information.
6. Questions? Please contact the
editor of Northwest Garden News--an e-mail link is on our home page.
Note: We
won't post a listing that we deem inappropriate or that is not garden-related. Let us know if anyone you contact through the
Gardener's Exchange does not represent themselves truthfully, or if they contact you for reasons other than your exchange
listing. We will exclude them from any future exchanges.
